The Zauchensee cross-country ski trail climbs up from Altenmarkt up to Zauchensee and is a snow-sure trail for advanced skiers. This forest trail follows the Zauch creek through the forest, where the peace and quiet and untouched nature soothes the soul. When you reach Zauchensee you can take the bus home or come back down the trail.

The start point for the Zauchesee trail is in Altenmarkt behind the school. Alternatively park at the Altenmarkt ski lift
It then heads towards Zauchensee by the campsite, along the Zauch creek towards the Altenmarkt ski lift then up the Muhlenweg for 10km past Neuhäusl to Zauchensee.
