Durch einen Waldwanderweg gelangt man zur Südwienerhütte, die inmitten der Bergwelt der Radstädter Tauern liegt. Die umwerfende Aussicht am Spirzinger (2066 m) rundet die Wanderung ab. Wer möchte kann die Tour über den Grat zum Spatzeck (2065 m) verlängern.

Highway chapel in Flachauwinkl - via forest road to the "Unterbichlhütte" - path Nr. 711 - turn left after that and carry on path Nr. 711 - Südwienerhütte (ca. 1802m) - Spirzinger (2066m) path Nr. 27 -Spazeck (2065m) - on the way back from the Spazeck leads you on the right hand side a track downhill to the path Nr. 26 - in direction to Hafeichtkapelle/Scharfetthütte - back again to motorway chapel path Nr. 26
Who do not want to hike to the peak can walk directly on the road from the Südwienerhütte to the Scharfetthütte - path Nr. 26
Sure-footedness is required for the ascent from Südwienerhütte to the summit !
The basic equipment of a hiker includes:
o sturdy, high shoes with a grippy sole
o suitable mountain clothing
o enough to drink
o snacks for in-between
o sunglasses, sunscreen or rain protection if necessary
o mobile phone
o walking sticks
o First aid kit
