Schubert's Masterpiece: Die Schöne Müllerin with Thomas Rettensteiner and Stephanie Hoernes
DIE SCHÖNE MÜLLERIN is the first of Schubert's major song cycles, composed in the autumn of 1823 during a hospital stay. Thomas Rettensteiner was born in the Salzburg region and studied singing at the University of Music in Vienna. Since the 2012/13 season, he has been a permanent member of the Theater Vorpommern ensemble. Austrian pianist Stephanie Hoernes performs both as a soloist and as a chamber musician and accompanist, captivating her audience with her colorful playing.
