The ultimate event to kick off the winter season! Flachau opened the new winter season on 6 & 7 December 2025 with a brilliant programme – and many of you were there live! It was a weekend full of action, parties and hit songs, creating the perfect start to the ski season.

The line-up? Simply mega:

Andreas Gabalier - pure folk rock'n'roll! Feel the goose bumps when he rocks the stage.
Die Nockis - hits that go straight to the heart and dance legs!
DJ Ötzi feat. Woodstock Allstar Band - non-stop party classics to sing and celebrate along to.

But that’s not all: during the day, the legendary slopes of Flachau awaited you with pure skiing pleasure. Enjoy true winter vibes with panoramic views, powder snow and endless fun on the slopes. In the evenings, it was all about partying, dancing and laughter.

At the big ski test during the Winter Opening, you had the chance to try out the newest models from a wide range of top brands directly on the piste.

Skiing for a good cause

Snow Space Salzburg and Flachau Tourismus launched the "Altitude Metre Challenge" at the winter opening in aid of Licht ins Dunkel. Celebrities collected metres in altitude in the Snow Space Salzburg ski area, which were automatically converted into donations. The total amount of an incredible €25,000 was ceremoniously handed over on 6 December 2025 at the Flachauer Gutshof.
