As winter draws to a close, Absolut Park becomes the centre of attention for the international freestyle scene. In March, the world's best riders gather in Flachauwinkl for two absolute highlights of the season: the legendary Spring Battle and the FIS Snowboard World Cup Flachau. Creativity, style and top athletic performance – two events, one park, one shared spirit.

Spring Battle
From 15 to 18 March 2026, Absolut Park will once again become the meeting place for the international freestyle scene. With its unique video format, Spring Battle has stood for creative snowboarding, progressive tricks and individual lines for over two decades – captured in one-take runs that cause a sensation worldwide.
In 2026, the event will remain true to its concept: not a classic contest, but a format that gives riders time, freedom and the perfect platform to show their personal best. Filming will be done with follow cams or FPV drones – directly in the slopestyle line of Absolut Park.
Whether it's slopestyle, best rail or just the vibe – the Spring Battle remains different.
Slopestyle
Four days of pure freestyle: riders have time to film their perfect slopestyle run – all in one take, without editing. Together with a followcam filmmaker or another rider, they create a clip that combines creativity, style and technique.
Runs must be uploaded by 7 p.m. CET on 18 March and posted on Instagram with the hashtags #springbattle26 and #springbattle26slope.
Best Rail Award
Creativity is also required on the rails: riders film their best trick on a specially constructed setup right next to the Chill House – again in one take, without cuts.

The Spring Battle will be followed immediately by the next highlight: from 19 to 21 March 2026, the international snowboard elite will gather at Absolut Park for the FIS Snowboard Slopestyle World Cup Flachau.
The world's best riders will show what they're made of – technical precision, style and airtime at the highest level.
Spectators can look forward to spectacular runs, creative lines and plenty of action – right in front of the unique backdrop of Absolut Park.
