Dorfalm Flachau: Where regionality meets real flavour

Right in the heart of Flachau lies the Dorfalm - a place where regionality is lived and savoured. Here you will find the best that our region has to offer: Milk, cheese, meat, jams, honey, schnapps and much more - directly from local producers. What began as a milk vending machine is now a place to shop, savour and linger. In the adjoining restaurant, Simon Schiefer Jr. and his family conjure up seasonal delicacies from what the farm and the region have to offer.

Die traditionellen Heimfahrkrapfen sind eine ganz besondere Pongauer Spezialität.

Pleasure with a view

Recipe idea: Blueberry dumplings

Ingredients for 4 people
400 g fresh blueberries, 100 g flour, 50 ml milk, 2 tbsp butter, granulated sugar, icing sugar.

Preparation
Thoroughly mix the blueberries with the flour and milk. Crush about half of the berries to release the juice. Melt a tablespoon of butter in a pan and fry small dumplings of the blueberry mixture in it. After about 3 minutes, sprinkle with granulated sugar, add the remaining butter and turn. Sprinkle again with granulated sugar and fry for another 3 minutes. Serve sprinkled with icing sugar.

Tip: Vanilla ice cream or a glass of cold milk go very well with the blueberry dumplings.
