Is it possible to drive up to the Waldgasthof by car?

Yes, the ascent to the Waldgasthof is possible. However, we recommend using the summer lift service of the Starjet 1 cable car to visit Flori's adventure trail. Important note: The road leading to the Waldgasthof is located in a designated grazing area. Driving and parking in this area is entirely at your own risk. No liability is accepted for any damage to vehicles.

Up the mountain, into the adventure! With the 12 Peaks Adventure Card, you can explore the region’s mountains with exceptional flexibility in summer 2026. The card is your ticket to the summer mountain railways on five mountains – and you can use it as often as you like on your chosen days.

Whether it’s leisurely family hikes, exciting adventure trails for children or challenging summit tours for mountain lovers – with the 12 Peaks Adventure Card, the possibilities are endless. The kids can let off steam at adventure playgrounds, cross suspension bridges or discover their first trails on two wheels, whilst the grown-ups enjoy the views or set off on their own mountain adventure.

How it works

The 12 Peaks Adventure Card is available in four different options with 2, 3, 4, or 5 Days of Choice. The number of selected days determines how many days you can use the card.

You can redeem these days flexibly within a 14-day period – perfect for a varied summer holiday in the mountains or spontaneous outings in between. On your chosen days, you can use the mountain lifts as often as you like, including multiple lifts in a single day, allowing you to explore the region at your own pace.

The bike offers of the individual cable cars are not included, but these can be booked with a favourable upgrade.
Also not included are special services and events of the cable cars (e.g. sunrise rides, gondola breakfast, etc.).
The purchase of the discounted online ticket without Flachau Sommercard is only possible until 11.59 pm on the previous day. The regular ticket price applies on the day of the visit.

Auf Flori‘s Erlebnispfad macht Natur noch mehr Spaß! Auf der kinderwagentauglichen Familienwanderung erwarten euch lustige Abenteuerstationen mit Flying Fox, Schaukeln, Kletterwänden und Rutschen.

Flying Mozart

Mit der Flying Mozart Gondelbahn geht’s rauf in die Berge – und das Abenteuer beginnt schon an der Mittelstation! Hier wartet die brandneue woom bike area im Snow Space Salzburg, ein echtes Highlight für Familien. Auf 5.900 m² können kleine Biker erste Trails testen, über Obstacles rollen und sich an coolen Drops versuchen.

Wer weiter hinauffährt, erreicht das Grießenkar, einen der schönsten Aussichtspunkte der Region. Von hier aus starten traumhafte Wanderungen – von gemütlich bis sportlich.

Willkommen in der Welt der Geister! Wer in St. Johann in die Gondel steigt, taucht ein in die sagenhafte Welt der Wasser-, Erd-, Luft- und Feuergeister. Schon die Fahrt mit dem Geisterbergzug verspricht Spannung, bevor es auf den kinderfreundlichen Wegen von einer Spielstation zur nächsten geht. Über 40 Abenteuer warten auf euch – vom Geisterbergschloss über das Geisterdorf bis hin zu Klettertürmen, Wasserspielen und Riesenschaukeln.

Family Run

The Family Run is great fun even in summer – and best of all, the circular route is pushchair-friendly! The 2.5 km trail takes you past 11 fun slides and exciting climbing stations all the way to the Lumberjack organic mountain restaurant.

Cyclists take note: the new pump track right next to the Lumberjack offers steep bends and plenty of features for MTB and e-bike riders.

Alpine Animals Championship Cup

Listen up, explorers of all ages! An adventure for the whole family awaits around the Gamskogelhütte in Zauchensee: at the Alpine Animals’ Championship, you can compete against the strongest animals in the Alps – from the hard-working bee to the nimble hare – in jumping, climbing, balancing and weightlifting.

The playground is situated at 1,900 metres and is easily accessible by mountain railway. Fantastic hikes also start from here, such as the one to Lake Seekarsee, which you can reach via the‘KUHparKUHr’adventure trail

Grafenberg of Wagrain

Get ready for some action! Balancing, scrambling, exploring – there’s plenty to experience for explorers of all ages on the Grafenberg in Wagrain. Cross the lake via the suspension bridge or by raft, test your skills on the low ropes course, or swing through the air in the treetop adventure park.

And the best bit? The adventure starts right at the Grafenbergbahn mountain station!
