General tips for running & walking
- Don't forget to warm up - stretching and mobilisation exercises before the start prevent injuries.
- The right equipment - Well-cushioned shoes and breathable clothing ensure comfort.
- Make sure your posture is upright - head high, shoulders relaxed, arms at a 90° angle with a slight swing.
- Increase slowly - gradually increase the distance and pace to avoid overloading yourself.
- Consciously control your breathing - Breathing in and out evenly improves your stamina.

Running made easy - how to stay on the ball!
Make sure you have a natural running style with a gentle midfoot landing to protect your joints. Start easy and gradually increase your speed and distance. Interval training provides variety and improves your fitness. Don't forget to recover - rest days are just as important as training! And for more fun: change terrain and discover new routes.
Running is more than just sport - it's pure freedom!
For the sake of your health & safety
Run Safe, Walk Smart!
- Don't forget to hydrate - Drink water regularly, especially on warm days.
- Listen to your body - Take a break if you feel pain or discomfort.
- Increase visibility - Wear reflective clothing at dusk.
- Use sun protection - sun cream and a cap protect you from UV rays.
- Be considerate of others - Respect walkers, cyclists and animals.
Walking with ease - how to do everything right!
Keep your upper body upright and actively use your arms - this ensures greater dynamism and efficiency. When Nordic walking, make sure you consciously use the poles backwards to optimise the movement. Find a steady pace that challenges you but doesn't overexert you. Make sure your feet roll gently to protect your joints. Different surfaces such as forest paths not only offer variety, but are also particularly easy on the joints.
Walking strengthens body and mind - so let's go!
