Accessibility
Information on the implementation of the Accessibility Act on our website
The Flachau Tourist Office is actively committed to ensuring that our website fulfils the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) . Our aim is to provide all users, regardless of their individual needs, with barrier-free access to our digital content.
Realisation and challenges
The technical implementation of accessibility is an extensive and complex process. The adaptation affects many areas, including
- Structure and navigation: Improving usability for people with motor impairments.
- Alternative texts and contrasts: Optimisation of the display for people with visual impairments.
- Support for screen readers: Adaptations for better readability and use with assistive technology
- Keyboard navigation: Ensure that all functions can be used without a mouse.
We are working with experts and specialists to make our website accessible step by step. Due to the technical challenges and the high level of effort involved, implementation may take some time.
Support through AI-supported tools
To further improve the accessibility of our website, we recommend the use of assistive technologies such as Microsoft Copilot. This AI-based tool can help to structure content, summarise information and manage tasks more efficiently. Microsoft Copilot is integrated into various Microsoft 365 applications or in the Edge browser and offers functions that can be particularly helpful for people with different needs.
Our commitment
Accessibility is not a compulsory programme for us, but a matter close to our hearts. We want our website to be accessible to everyone and take this process very seriously. We therefore do everything we can to implement the necessary adaptations in the best possible way.
Feedback welcome
If you encounter any barriers on our website or have any suggestions, we look forward to your feedback. You can contact us by e-mail at info@flachau.com or by phone at T: +43(0)6457/2214 during our opening hours at the tourist office. We are also happy to help you with a booking.
Thank you for your understanding and your support on the way to a more inclusive digital future!
