Ski Tour Taferlnock

Description

The Taferlnock, at 2,375m, is an impressive peak at the end of the High Tauern. This route requires good fitness and alpine surefootedness.

The route starts at the Gasthofalm parking lot (closed) and passes by the Tauernalm chapel. From there, it goes through the Pleißling valley. Past the alpine pastures, the ascent towards Taferlnock begins. Be careful on the steep slopes, as there is avalanche danger (check current avalanche situation). Upon reaching Taferlnock, the Radstadt Tauern show themselves at their best.
