Almenweg stage 17 - Flachau - Zauchensee

From the stage start in Flachau, it goes past the parish church of Flachau uphill to the mountain guesthouse Sattelbauer and onward to the Lackenalm at the foot of the imposing Lackenkogel. The Lackenalm with its huts is a true gem and is rightly counted among the most beautiful of its kind in the upper Enns valley. This is followed by a long ridge section over several peaks: the views are almost dramatically beautiful, and for many experienced Almenweg hikers, this stage is considered one of the most beautiful overall.
