Sportweltbus
The public transport serves as a shuttle and return service when hiking. It operates daily from 27th of May until 17th of September 2023 in the entire region (Salzburg Sportwelt & Obertauern). With the Flachau Summer Card, the Sportweltbus can be used for € 1.00 per route.
Additional info: All buses in the region (to Obertauern, Filzmoos, St. Johann, Großarltal) can be used for EUR 1.00 per person from 1 May to 31 October with the Flachau guest card.

A hike on or up Grießenkar is simply part of a summer holiday in Flachau. Grießenkar is Flachau's very own 1991 m mountain. Experience the mountain on a whole range of routes.
Ski lifts in summer
A quick and relaxing way to scale the heights is with Flachau's cable cars.
The chairlifts Starjet 1 and 2 take you up to Grießenkar, a beautiful area for hiking. This is the starting point for a whole range of walks from a leisurely high-altitude hike along "Flori's adventure trail" to scaling the 1991 m Grießenkareck. On the terraces of Flachau's mountain inns, you can breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy local culinary delights.
