A strange blockage of appreciation has settled over our society. Language has radicalized, the mask of coolness dominates all communication, and narcissism is regarded as a social ideal. Emotional coolness and contempt, destructive criticism and scandalization, cynicism, and devaluation are gaining the upper hand.
