The Salzburg baritone Rafael Fingerlos, accompanied on the piano by his song pianist Sascha El Mouissi, presents Franz Schubert's "Die schöne Müllerin" – one of the most important song cycles of the Romantic era. This cycle, based on poems by Wilhelm Müller, tells the story of a young miller's apprentice – from initially hopeful love to the deepest resignation. Fingerlos and El Mouissi have developed an expressive and sensitive interpretation of this masterpiece as a song duo, which impressively highlights the close connection between text and music.
