Start at Flachau Tourismus - past the village square over the bridge and then left in the direction of the miniature golf course - follow the signposted cycle path to the center of Altenmarkt - at the crossing in the center of the village (in front of the church) turn right in the direction of Zauchensee - approx. 200 meters before the valley station of the Hochbifangbahn, take the fork to the left into the Steinwandrundweg (connection MTB- Route 11) - follow the road in the direction of Hochnössler - continue straight ahead on the rough forest path (partially steep passages! ) - steep descent to Zauchensee Bundesstraße - follow the forest path running parallel to the asphalt road in the direction of Altenmarkt (2 crossings of the main road) - at km 22.6 turn left into the Kohlgrabenweg - ascent via forest path (connection to MTB- Route 13) to the mountain inn Sattelbauer (refreshment stop) - down the valley via asphalt and/or gravel road to the starting point in Flachau
Check the functionality of your mountain bike before each ride and inform yourself in about the current weather on site. For your own safety, we recommend to wear a helmet.
A mountainbiker's basic equipment:
- protective gear
- enough to drink and eat for inbetween
- sunglasses, optionally sun cream or rain cover
- mobile phone

From June to September, the Sportweltbus is the ideal shuttle service for your bike tours in the entire region (Flachau, Wagrain-Kleinarl, St. Johann-Alpendorf, Radstadt, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Eben, Filzmoos, Obertauern, Großarl & Hüttschlag).
With the Flachau Summer Card you can use the Sportweltbus for only Euro 1,00 per person and route. Children under 6 years travel free!
