A local, crisp (E) mountain bike tour with breathtaking panoramic views and great places to stop for refreshments along the way.
The local and very varied (E) mountain bike tour "Sattelbauer-Murleiten SW31 b" goes into extension.

From the centre of the village, we follow a short section of the Ennsradweg in a northerly direction, following the SW31 b signs, which first lead us over asphalt and then over a very quiet, natural forest path with a moderate incline to Berggasthof Sattelbauer. The first well-deserved stop for refreshments and a magnificent view of the Dachstein massif awaits us here. After a short break, we pass the barrier at the Sattelbauer and now follow the signs for SW 31 c along a well-built forest road. Attention: If you are on a "normal" mountain bike, you should be familiar with crisp climbs from here on. With a unique panorama behind us, we wind our way up the partly steep forest road to the Lackenalmen, where two rustic huts await us for refreshments! Proud and invigorated, we return along the same path to Sattelbauer, from where various downhill options (single trail, forest or asphalt road) awaits us in the direction of Flachau.

More informations

Start in the centre/minigolf; turn left and follow the signposted cycle path along the Enns river for 750 m; turn right and follow the ascent over a few bends; cross the motorway overpass; follow the idyllic forest road uphill over several bends; at km 4.5 follow the new connecting road, turn onto the SW31 (forest road or cycle path) and continue along this. Turn left onto the forest road; turn sharp right uphill; follow the road and keep left after another 400 metres; As a matter of principle, stay on the main course of the forest road and avoid turning off into forks; above the tree line you can see the Lackenalmen and the destination is in sight; take the same route back to the Sattelbauer mountain inn; return downhill via the passages of the Sattelbauer Trail (alternatively via forest road or asphalt road).

Check the functionality of your mountain bike before each ride and inform yourself in advance about the current weather on site. For your own safety, we recommend to wear a helmet.
