Duration 4h 15min
Length 25.58km
Max Altitude 1852m
Ascent 900m
descent 900m
A steep climb with a great view, something for advanced climbers mainly on asphalt.
We head off outbound Flachau, but already after 700m we turn west, and after crossing the valley floor we are faced with a single, challenging climb. In total, there are approximately 900 height meters that are covered up to the Grießenkaralmen, one should therefore divide the forces well. Many bends and hairpin bends along the ski area lead up, first on asphalt, later on gravel paths, some of them quite steep. After a well-earned rest and refreshment at the mountain inns with wonderful panoramic views, the route then leads northeast, where you can ski comfortably with a moderate gradient to the valley station of the Rote 8er and from there back to Flachau.
