The beautiful hike on the Grießenkar offers a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain.
Enjoy peace and silence, feel free like a bird and enjoy the 360° panorama. What more could you ask for? The first ascent to the "Berggasthof Latschenhof" can even be mastered with the lifts startjet 1+2 (note summer operating times). The last 15 minutes before the summit you should be sure-footed and free from giddiness.

Flachau centre - valley station "starjet 1" - going up with the lift "starjet 1 & 2" to the Berggasthof Latschenhof - turn into the path Nr. 41 above the Berggasthof - pass the War Memorial crosses and follow the track to the Grießenkareck (1991 m) - at the fork in the road turn right into path Nr. 45A - a few minutes later, at the fork in the road turn right into path Nr. 45 - at the next fork turn left an go pass the "Hundsdorfhütte" and turn into path Nr. 43 - downhill to the valley Flachau

On the last meters to the peak is step security is necessary.

The basic equipment of a hiker includes:

o sturdy, high shoes with a grippy sole

o suitable mountain clothing

o enough to drink

o snacks for in-between

o sunglasses, sunscreen or rain protection if necessary

o mobile phone

o walking sticks

o First aid kit

Parking possibilities are available at the center of Flachau (BBF-Center & Minigolf).
