That was the STAR CHALLENGE 2017

The annual charity race to promote young skiers took place this year for the 5th time. It was the start of an exciting World Cup event in Flachau. Celebrities from sport and society participated in this competition and presented their skiing skills.

They built a team together with a talalented upcoming skier from the Salzburger Ski Association. The Giant Slalom on the race-prepared Hermann Maier World Cup has been skied in one run. The winning team wasn't decided by the fastest time, but by the closest gap between the celebrity and the upcoming talented skiers.

The winning team of the Star Challenge 2017 has been Michael Walchofer and Felix Sagmeister.

The net proceeds of the event in the amount of Euro 5.000,- went to the Salzburg Ski Association to promote young talented skiers.
