Flachau offers a multiplicity of hiking routes - varied and something for everyone.

The ideal elevation, well described trails, numerous combination options with cable cars, Sport World Bus and overnight hut accommodations – all this in Flachau.

A few hiking routes in Flachau 

Here we present some of the most beautiful hiking routes in Flachau.

Hiking route to the Marbachalmen
Route:	Junction  Marbachtal (1,106 m) - front Marbachalm (1,183 m) - back Marbachalm (1,244 m) – return  on the same route. From the center of Flachau by car or with the Sport World bus to Flachauwinkl to the junction of Marbachtal (approx. 10 km, parking lot available). Afterwards, leisurely hike over the broad, marked hiking trail, along the Marbach, to the front Marbachalm (Prechtlhütte) and then to the back Marbachalm (Ennslehenhütte, Anichhofhütte). Pause in one of the formentioned huts. Return to the junction of Marbachtal on the same route.
Hiking time:	Junction Marbachtal - front Marbachalm: approximately 30 min, front Marbachalm – back Marbachalm: about 10 min, Return on the same route - distance: approximately 1 hour; Total time: approximately 2 hours
Degree of difficulty:	easy hike, broad way into the beautiful Marbachtal only light upward gradients
Requirements:	no high demands on the physical condition, also possible with baby carriages, firm footwear is recommended.
Pause:	Prechthütte, Ennslehenhütte and Anichhofhütte

Hiking route over the „The Way of the Good Wishes" to Sattelbauer:
Route:	center of Flachau (approx. 925 m) – “Way of the Good Wishes” - Pertilbauer (1,173 m) – Sattelbauer (1,279 m) - Flachau (925 m) or starting from Sattelbauer - getting there by Sport World Bus Center of Flachau, Stahlhammergasse, over the Klinglhub Motorway bridge to the entrance of „The Way of the Good Wishes". This theme trail ends at Pertilbauer. Farther to number 73 to Sattelbauer. Pause at Sattelbauer, return over the Sattelweg or by the Sport World Bus to Flachau
Hiking time:	Center of Flachau - entrance "Way of the Good Wishes": approximately 15 min, "Way of the Good Wishes": approximately 1.5 hours, Pertilbauer - Sattelbauer: approximately 30 min, return  Sattelbauer - Flachau: approximately   45 min, total time: approximately 3 hours

Requirements:	intermediate physical condition, firm footwear

Hiking route Grießenkareck - Frauenalm - Flachauwinkl - Flachau
Tour:	Center of Flachau (925 m) - ascent with the lifts Star Jet I or II, or outside of the cable car operation periods with the Sport World Bus. Solider memorial crosses (1,897 m) - Grießenkareck (1,991 m) - Saukarfunktel (2,028 m) - Saukarkopf (2,014 m) - Ahornkarkopf (1,923 m) - mountain experience at the Shuttleberg (new, starting the middle of July 09) - Frauenalm - Flachauwinkl (1.000 m) - back to Flachau (925 m) with the Sport World Bus. From the center of Flachau to the Valley Station Star Jet I, ride the lift into the Grießenkar (Star Jet I and II) or outside the lift periods of operation with the Sport World Bus to the Grießenkaralmen - from the Gasthofl Latschenhof. Continue on hiking way Nr. 41, up to the gorge between Flachau and Wagrain, past the war memorial cross and the “Schneid” along the Grießenkareck. Continue to Saukarfunktel to the Saukarkopf and to Ahornkopf. Then down to the Frauenalm and farther to Flachauwinkl and back with the Sport World Bus from the Frauenalm.
