How to get to Flachau

Arriving by train

The nearest express train station is in Radstadt, approx. 12 km from Flachau. Here, for example, there are 5 direct train connections daily from Salzburg main station, 2 of which are already from Munich main station. For travel from Eastern Austria, there are also direct train connections from Vienna Hbf via St. Pölten, Linz, Liezen, .... to Radstadt at the weekend.

The train station in Bischofshofen (approx. 28 km from Flachau) is the nearest railway junction (with a variety of train connections from all directions).

From Radstadt or Bischofshofen you can take a taxi directly to Flachau. There is also a public bus connection from from Radstadt to Flachau (please note that the public bus only makes stops and you may still have a longer way to go to get to your accommodation.)
 

Arriving by Car

It's easy to get here. In the heart of Austria, at the centre of Europe - you can reach Flachau easily via the A10 Tauern motorway (exit 66) - from Germany / Holland via Munich and Salzburg, from Italy via Villach and Spittal. By plane you can fly to Salzburg airport and book your train ticket to Radstadt / Salzburger Land (fast train station).

Arrival by plane

Numerous airlines take you to Flachau via Salzburg Airport. Salzburg Airport W. A. ​​Mozart is Austria's largest regional airport. Cheap shared taxi transfers will take you from the airport to Flachau or you can book your individual taxi transfer.
