The best of both worlds for outdoor enthusiasts

The Lackenkogel (2051 m) towers high above Flachau. It is one of the most striking mountains in the Radstädter Tauern and offers a fantastic all-round view. It is perfect for a combination of bike and hike.

Take your (e-)mountain bike along the Sattelbauer-Lackenalmen mountain bike route (SW 31 B+ C) from the village center up to the Bergasthof Sattelbauer, whose terrace offers a magnificent view of the Dachstein massif and invites one or two of you to take a cappuccino break. The route then continues over a passage with a steep climb up to the picturesque Lackenalmen. Here you can park and lock up your bikes before continuing on foot to reach the summit of the Lackenkogel. Once at the top, the fantastic view over the Enns Valley will make you forget the effort of the ascent in no time.

After a stop at the Lackenalm, it's back down into the valley by bike - whatever you prefer. The adventurer chooses the challenging single trail, the leisure biker the forest road.
