Richie Loidl is one of the most famous boogie pianists in Austria and comes from Bad Ischl in the Salzkammergut, one of the most beautiful areas of our country. Since the 80s he has dedicated himself to Boogie Woogie and related musical styles. He is best known for his “Shake the Lake” festival at Lake Wolfgangsee, which he has been organizing there with his friends and colleagues since 1995. In September 2016, this unique festival under the motto “Shaking in Beijing” was held in the Chinese capital for the first time. In the Dampfkessel He “shakes” in a trio with drums and bass, sometimes also on two pianos with one of his colleagues. He makes music full of emotion, “groove” and fun. His repertoire includes not only boogie and rock'n'roll classics, but also jazz standards and popular oldies.
